LabelCSV

Avery 5167 and 5195

Return address labels from a spreadsheet

Return address labels are the small ones. LabelCSV prints them from a CSV, an Excel file, or a published Google Sheet, in this browser.

The tool below starts on Avery 5167. Switch to Avery 5195 if the box is the taller 60-up sheet.

Your spreadsheet stays in this browser.

LabelCSV does not upload the file, and there is no Google permission prompt. Paste a publish-to-web CSV link, or open a file from this computer.

1. Add rows

2. Label text

3. Sheet and print

Small return labels. Four columns and twenty rows, 80 per sheet.

Alignment

Nudge moves every label the same amount when the printer drifts. It is saved on this browser.

Free PDFs include one sheet and a small LabelCSV.com footer. See pricing

Sheet 1 of 1

80 labels

Avery 5167: label 1.75 in by 0.5 in, top 0.5 in, side 0.2813 in, column gap 0.3125 in, row gap 0 in. The preview is scaled. Print the PDF at 100 percent.

The outlines are the label positions. Load rows to fill them.

Which preset to pick

Avery 5167 is 0.5 in tall by 1.75 in wide, four columns, twenty rows, 80 labels. Top margin 0.5 in, side margin 0.28125 in, gap between columns 0.3125 in, no gap between rows. The default size is 7 points, and three lines fit. A fourth line is cut. 5267 and 8167 share this grid. They are not separate choices. Pick 5167.

Avery 5195 is 0.66 in by 1.75 in, four columns, fifteen rows, 60 labels. Top margin 0.55 in, side margin 0.3 in, column gap 0.3 in. It also starts at 7 points, and four lines fit. 8195 is the same layout. Pick 5195 when the stock says 60 labels or when the return address needs a fourth short line. Match the number on the box. LabelCSV is not affiliated with Avery.

Avery 5160 is the large 1 in by 2.625 in mailing label. It spends a full large label on three short lines. Use 5167 or 5195 for a return address.

Column tips

Three lines is the comfortable shape: name, street, then city, state, and ZIP. Address mode builds that when the headers are Name, Address, City, State, and Zip. If you also map Address 2, 5167 can clip it at 7 points. Use 6 points, or move to 5195, and read the preview.

There is no copies field. Repeat the row once per label, or type the return address as plain text in the free-form template with no braces. A list of 90 rows then prints 90 identical labels: 80 on the first 5167 sheet and 10 on the next.

Different addresses use Name, Address, City, State, and Zip. Skip blank rows is on. Fix a ZIP that lost its leading zero before you load the file.

Steps, including a partly used sheet

  1. Paste the CSV, drop the Excel file, or load a published Google Sheet (File, Share, Publish to web, Comma-separated values).
  2. Choose Avery 5167 or Avery 5195 to match the box.
  3. Count peeled labels from the top left, left to right. Six gone means start at 7. On 5167 a missing first row starts at 5.
  4. Check the preview. At 7 points, 5167 holds three lines and 5195 holds four. At 9 points, 5167 drops to two lines. The size can be set from 6 to 24.
  5. Download the PDF. A free PDF is one sheet: 80 labels on 5167, or 60 on 5195, with a small LabelCSV.com line in the bottom margin. Print at 100 percent.

Print alignment

Print the alignment test on plain paper at 100 percent. Turn off fit-to-page and headers and footers. If the numbered boxes are shifted as a whole, set Nudge right or Nudge up, from -0.5 to 0.5 inches. A higher number moves the print that way. Print the test again. The nudge stays in this browser. The test does not use a credit.

Questions

Should I buy 5167 or 5195?

Use the number on the box you have. 5167 is 80 labels at 0.5 in tall and fits three lines at 7 points. 5195 is 60 labels at 0.66 in tall and fits four lines at 7 points.

How do I print one return address many times?

Repeat the row once per label, or type the address as plain text in the free-form template with no {column} tokens. There is no copies box.

Can I start in the middle of a sheet?

Yes. Set Start at label to the first unused label, counted left to right from the top left. Only the first sheet uses that start.

Is the free footer printed on a label?

On a free PDF, a small LabelCSV.com line sits in the bottom margin of the page. 5167 and 5195 leave about half an inch under the last row. Paid sheets omit that line.
