Which preset to pick

Avery 5160 is the usual choice: 1 in by 2.625 in, three across, ten down, 30 labels, default 10 points. Avery 8160 and 18160 are the same grid. A joint name often wraps on this width. Check the preview. If the city line disappears, lower the font or move to a wider label.

Avery 5161 is 1 in by 4 in, two columns, ten rows, 20 labels, default 11 points. The extra width keeps a long name on one line more often. Avery 5162 is about 1.33 in by 4 in, two columns, seven rows, 14 labels, default 12 points. Use it when you also print a guest line or a hotel line. At 12 points, 5160 fits four lines and 5162 fits six. LabelCSV is not affiliated with Avery.

Clear and kraft stock works when the die matches a preset. Sheets sold as Avery 18660 are the same 1 in by 2.625 in, 30-up size as 5160. The menu does not list 18660. Choose Avery 5160 and print that PDF on the clear or kraft sheet. The PDF is black Helvetica. It does not tint the paper.

Column tips for a guest list

Use one row per envelope. Name, Address, City, State, and Zip map on their own. "Guest name" does not, so rename it or pick the column. Address mode will not add "and Guest". Put that wording in its own column. An empty cell is dropped.

A Title cell of "Dr." prints as "Dr. Priya Shah". An empty Title still leaves the name, because extra spaces are trimmed. Click the column buttons under the box to insert a header. Set alignment to center and middle if you want the block centered. The default is left and top. Skip blank rows is on. Fix a ZIP that lost its leading zero in Excel before you load the file.

Steps

1. Export the guest list as CSV, or drop the Excel file. Google Sheets works too: File, Share, Publish to web, Comma-separated values, then paste the link.
2. Confirm the columns. Set Address line 2 to Skip if you have no apartment column.
3. Choose 5160, 5161, or 5162 to match the stock in the box. The product number on the box is the one that matters.
4. Set center and middle if you want the address centered on the label. Read every line in the preview.
5. Download the PDF. A free PDF is one sheet: 30 labels on 5160, 20 on 5161, or 14 on 5162. Print at 100 percent.

Print alignment

Print the alignment test on plain paper at 100 percent. Turn off fit-to-page and browser headers and footers. If the boxes all sit off the die by the same amount, set Nudge up or Nudge right, from -0.5 to 0.5 inches. A higher number moves the print that way. Print the test again. The nudge is saved in this browser. A peeled 5160 first row starts at 4, on the first sheet only. Reply envelopes use 5167 or 5195.
